Information to help you plan your journey to our special day

Getting Around Cancún

Cancún is easy to navigate, especially within the Hotel Zone where the resort is located. Taxis and ride services are widely available, and private transportation can be arranged for airport transfers or excursions. Many guests choose to stay on property, as the resort is walkable and all wedding events will take place there.

Airport

We recommend flying into Cancún International Airport.

The resort is approximately a 30-minute drive from the airport, so please plan your arrival time accordingly.

Travel & Safety Information

As of 02/27/2026

We understand that recent news coverage regarding parts of Mexico may raise questions about travel. Your safety and comfort are incredibly important to us, and we want to share the information we've received directly from our local partners.

Our wedding will take place at Hyatt Ziva Cancun, located in Cancun's Hotel Zone — a dedicated, resort-designated area that operates separately from regions referenced in national headlines.

We have been in direct communication with:

  • Our local wedding planner based in Cancun
  • The Hyatt Ziva wedding coordination team
  • Resort management

All have reassured us that:

  • Hyatt Ziva Cancun and the Hotel Zone continue to operate normally
  • There have been no incidents affecting resort operations or guest well-being
  • Tourism in Cancun remains active and fully operational
  • Recent reported incidents have been isolated to other parts of the country and are being actively managed by local authorities

Our wedding is not until October 30, 2026, and we are actively monitoring official travel advisories and staying in close contact with the resort team. Should anything change that meaningfully impacts travel or safety, we will communicate with guests promptly.

We completely understand that every guest will make the decision that feels best for them and their families, and we respect that fully. Please feel free to reach out to us directly with any questions.

Additional travel tips and reminders will be shared closer to the wedding date.
